Garbage That Can be Placed at Collection Site |
Notice:
1. |
You must put out the garbage separately according to the four types: Burnable Waste, Non-burnable Waste, Plastic Wrapping Materials and Recyclable Waste. |
2. |
You must use the garbage bags designated by Maebashi City. |
3. |
The collection dates are decided in each town. Check the dates on the calendar
(available for download on the Maebashi City's website).

Garbage should be put out by 8 am on the collection day. |

◆ How to Sort Your Garbage
Burnable Waste (collected twice a week):

Kitchen Waste (drain well) |

Paper Diapers (remove excretions) |

Plastic Products without the “Pura” mark. (Rubber products, CDs, cassette tapes, toothbrushes, colanders, buckets, etc.) |

Fabric products with padded garments |

Grass and Twigs (Grass and twigs should be shorter than 50cm, and thinner than 4cm. Tie them in a bundle smaller than 30cm in diameter. You can put out only two bundles per collection.) |

How to dispose:
Place into a designated city bag.
You can buy these bags at any supermarket.

Non-Burnable Waste (collected once a month):

Ceramics (Bowls, plates, plant pots, etc.) |

Glass except glass bottles (Glass tableware, heat-resistant glass, cosmetics containers, plate glass, light bulbs, broken bottles, etc.) |

Please wrap broken or sharp items with paper.

Paper materials are collected also on rainy days.
Exceptions:
The following items must be disposed of as Burnable Waste.
・ Smelling paper-made packaging (parfumes or soaps packages, etc.)
・ Waterproofed paper (disposable cups, dishes, etc.)
・ Back carbon copying paper (parcel delivery tags, receipts, etc.)
・ Thermo-sensitive paper (receipts, FAX paper, photo albums, etc.)

Shoes, sneakers, belts, hats, scarves, neckties, bags, etc.

Fabrics (towels, handkerchiefs, stuffed toys, bedsheets, curtains, etc.)

How to dispose:
Wash the items and put them into a transparent or semi-transparent vynil bag.
Clothes and fabrics can't be put outside on rainy days.
Exceptions:
The following items can't be put outside as items of this category.
・ Wet, smelly or dirty items (dispose them of as Burnable Waste)
・ Padded clothes (hanten, dotera, etc.)
・ Boots, slippers, sandals, etc.
・ Suitscases, randsels, school satchels, etc.
・ Futons, mattresses, pillows, etc.
・ Carpets, mats, fabric items used by pets, etc.

◆ Group Collection of Valuable Resources
Local groups such as a residents’ association and a children’s community organize the group collection in order to recycle valuable resources. Ask your neighbors when and where the collection is.

As for the following garbage, you must take them to a processing center, or ask for a door pick-up service to a waste management office.

Maebashi City will not accept the following items. You must dispose of
them by following the procedures explained below.

There are 3 ways to dispose of your computer.
Solution No. 1
You can dispose of your computer by throwing it into one of the designated
collection boxes for small appliances available in the city. These boxes
are located near or inside public facilities like Maebashi City Hall, City
Hall Branch Offices, Sogo Fukushi Kaikan, Jido Bunka Center, K'Bix Genki
21 Maebashi.
Only items smaller than 15cmx30cm can be put into these boxes.
Solution No. 2
You can call one of the following centers and bring your computer there to be disposed of.
1. Ogikubo Waste Processing Center (Google Maps)
2. Fujimi Cleaning Station (Google Maps)
Solution No. 3
You can ask the maker to pick it up.
Those with the “PC Recycling Mark” will not be charged.
